Over these first days of August, Cuba has won the most medals thus far during the Tokyo-2020 Olympic Games, a total of seven, including the golds of Mijaín López, with his fourth Olympic crown, Luis Orta, with his first, and the Cuban rowing duo of Serguey Torres and Fernando Dayán, who closed a magical day, giving the Cuban delegation its best day of these Games.
Cuba has dedicated on social networks multiple expressions of gratitude to its national baseball team, which on Sunday ended its performance at the 5th World Baseball Classic placing among the top four.

The Symphony Orchestra of Holguín, under the baton of the German-born maestro Michael Elvermann, will give a concert next Saturday with selections from “The Magic Flute” by W.A. Mozart, as part of a season to celebrate its 22nd anniversary, on November 1st and the 60s of the Rodrigo Prats Lyric Theater.
