Those who did everything possible to discredit and prevent Cuban medical cooperation during Donald Trump's administration must have been surprised to hear the information provided by Dr. Jorge Delgado Bustillo, Director of Cuba's Central Unit for Medical Cooperation, when he said that 25 brigades with some 2,500 Cuban collaborators are still fighting COVID-19 around the world. Dr. Jorge said that in the last six decades, and in spite of the U.S. blockade, Cuban health professionals have treated nearly one third of the global population.
