In 2025, Holguín had an outstanding sports year, with achievements that stood out nationally and internationally. The province reemerged on the competitive scene, excelling in team sports, regaining prominence in baseball, and celebrating major medals in global events. Overall, the results showed a strong and growing sports movement in Holguín.

Holguín is among the Cuban provinces where the largest number of fourth generation or 4G stations will be installed this year.
