Researchers at the Center for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology (CIGB) plan to submit the dossier of the Cuban vaccine Abdala to the World Health Organization (WHO) in March, as part of the process to obtain its authorization for emergency use.
The Tourism sector in Holguín, supported by the Ecovalor Project, works to protect the natural resources exploited, including beach, bay, underwater landscape and protected area in accordance with the Territorial Ordering plans and regulations binding with Cuban legislation for the Protection of the Environment.

More than 800,000 cruise passengers visited Cuba last year, a figure that reaffirms the sustained growth of this sector. A total of 17 international cruise lines, with some 25 ships, currently operate in the country, including some of the most recognized worldwide, such as Carnival Cruise Line and Royal Caribbean Cruise Line.
