The fact that there is not today in Cuban hotels the typical activity that characterizes them due to the disruption caused by COVID-19 to global tourism, does not mean that the development of the so-called "smokeless industry" in Cuba remains on standby.
During the stage, construction and maintenance works in facilities are carried out to improve comfort and increase the hotel floor of the country.
In this regard, the construction of the first hotel plant at El Ramón de Antilla Peninsula in Holguín province is almost ready, the tourism group Gaviota has announced on its Facebook profile.
The area, located at the entrance of the Nipe bay, is considered a Protected Natural Landscape and has a singular beauty marked by the color of the waters of its virgin beaches, which will lead to an increase of the tourist activity in this new and extraordinarily attractive place.
The hotel is part of a tourism development project designed for this site, which aims to expand to reach some 19,000 rooms, and turn the peninsula into a complete destination, with a variety of options mainly linked to promoting direct contact with nature.
El Ramón is located about one hundred kilometers from the city of Holguín, a province that ranks fourth in importance among the nation's tourist destinations, with a wide range of places of interest and a high culture of attention to those who choose it.
In recent years, Canada has been its main issuer, followed by England, Germany and more recently, Russia.
