A project to promote self-sufficiency of rural schools and polytechnics is being developed in the province of Holguín, as part of the objectives of the current school year to promote food production.

Promoting the production of vegetables, fruits and root vegetables is the main goal of producers from the municipality of Urbano Noris involved in the Project ¡Actúa diferente!, supported by the Korean development agency Koica, through the World Food Program in Cuba, PMA.

Aimed at achieving more quality and effectiveness in the diagnosis and treatment of eye diseases in patients, professionals from the Holguín Ophthalmological Center and the Imaging service of the Lucía Íñiguez surgical clinical hospital began a joint work, both with coverage for this province and other neighboring provinces in eastern Cuba.
