XVII National Verification of Internal Control begins in Holguín

The XVII National Verification of Internal Control began this week in Holguín, running until October 31, and will take place in the municipalities of Moa, Urbano Noris, and Holguín.
This initiative focuses on improving the socialist state enterprise, especially entities linked to agricultural production, to ensure compliance with the Food Sovereignty and Nutritional Security Law.
In the province, five agriculture system companies under national subordination, two Municipal Administration Councils, one municipal agro-industrial company, and one non-state management form, all related to productive activities in the agricultural sector, will be audited.
To carry out the exercise in Holguín, 105 participants were trained, including comptrollers, auditors, representatives from ANEC, experts from the Territorial Office of Standardization (OTN), university students, and professors from the Advanced Technician in Auditing and Law Degree programs.
This annual exercise aims to train and control key public policies, allowing for the evaluation of the implementation of measures, new provisions, and regulations aimed at increasing efficiency and effectiveness in administrative management.
Across the country, the Comptroller's Office will inspect 155 entities, including 85 national entities, 67 local entities, and three non-state entities. These entities are undergoing inspections by the Comptroller General's Office, compliance audits, and special audits starting this week, Darlam Dalmau Palomino, Deputy Comptroller General of the Republic, told Granma newspaper.
This year, in line with the Government Program to correct distortions and boost the economy, the Comptroller General's Office is focusing on issues related to agricultural and food production, as this is one of the population's greatest concerns.
Amarilis Álvarez Almarales, the province's chief comptroller, emphasized that the verification also seeks to promote a culture of control in administrations and the active participation of labor collectives to strengthen the management of entities.
