Holguin Yordan Manduley Stands out in Can-Am League

Holguin shortstop Yordan Manduley, a member of the Can-Am League's Quebec Capitals team, stood out for the offensive during the start of the final series for the championship, a 7-5 success over the Rockland Boulders.

With three undisputed five shifts, the Cuban shortstop and first batter in the Capitals lineup drove a race and scored another, while also excelled in defense.

Manduley, who is also part of the roster of “Los Cachorros” of Holguin in the Cuban League, has six hits in 17 games at the Canadian league, for an average of 353, with two doubles, three RBIs, equal number of scoring, two walks and a strikeout.

In the regular stage of the game, Manduley participated in 84 games, with a batting average of 309, with 103 hits in 333 times at bat, 14 biangulars, a triple and a quadrangular.

During the opening game of the final series of the Can-Am League, Cuban Yirisbel Gracial also connected a single in four innings as a third bat, while pitcher Lázaro Blanco allowed four clean runs in four innings and a third, with seven strikeouts and pair of tickets.

The series for the title will continue this Wednesday in the Palisades Credit Union Park, in the Rokcland Boulders field.
