Holguín has four athletes with tickets to the First Youth Pan American Games to take place in Cali, Colombia, from November 25 to December 5.
So far, Rosaide Robles (Pole vault) and Andy Echavarría (Athletics) have their tickets for the Games, as well as Evelìn Díaz and Daimilìn Pèrez (Cycling) and Liabelis Santos, of artistic swimming.
The event will include 39 disciplines and will have the participation of more than 3,000 athletes from 41 countries.
It was recently announced that the competitions of these Pan American Games will have an audience, up to 50 percent of the capacities of the facilities. Fans who attend to watch the matches must be vaccinated against COVID-19, wear face masks and comply with all the measures required.
These Junior Games have great relevance not only for being the first and for the medals obtained, but also for seeing future champions of the continent and because the gold winners will be classified for the traditional Pan American Games, which will take place in Santiago de Chile in 2023.
