Los Chinos de Holguín state market belongs to the Provincial Delegation of Agriculture and sells agricultural products supplied by production centers such as Limoncito, Beola, La Yuraguana, among others.
Even in the midst of the worsening of the U.S. Blockade on Cuba and the need to maintain sanitary hygiene measures in the battle against COVID-19, food production has not stopped in the territory.
"Los Chinos" has 17 state tents, 9 for taxpayers and 21 Placitas. Its workers, guided by Rafael Castro Arevalo, are an example of tenacity working long hours to satisfy the demand of the population.
The territorial self-supply program demands 161,763 tons of agricultural products to increase the offers in quality and quantity, and achieve food sovereignty and adequate nutritional education among the population.
For markets like Los Chinos to be supplied, and consequently to bring food to the table of Holguín people, it is a priority to sow more, so the territory carries out a group of recovery actions planned within the 2021 plan and for the 2022.
