Located in the Historical Center of the city of Holguin, the former Plaza O'Donell or Mercado, today Plaza de la Marqueta, stands as one of the privileged spaces for the local development program carried out this northeastern Cuban province.

 

The Guidance Centers for Women and the Family in Holguin province encourage preventive work and the formation of values, as part of the programs of the Cuban Revolution in favor of females.

 

Several countries of the world keep active transmission of diseases such as acute respiratory diseases, yellow fever and malaria. Given that the province of Holguin has collaboration projects with different countries and the number of travelers to those destinations has increased, the implementation of an effective sanitary control has been necessary.
