The Public Health system in Holguin province closed 2020 with an infant mortality rate of 3.4 death per every 1,000 live births, one of the lowest in its history and in Cuba.
The Company of the Biotechnology and Pharmaceutical Industry and the Center for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology were declared on Wednesday the first two High Technology institutions in Cuba.
Every beginning of the year, Cuba reports one of the lowest infant mortality rates in the continent, compared to those of developed countries. These figures reflect the Cuban State's political will and its health system to preserve the life of all pregnant women, postpartum women, and infants.
