The Holguín Territorial Oncology Center, attached to the Vladimir Ilich Lenin University Hospital, is strengthening programs to improve the quality of life for cancer patients in eastern Cuba.
The “Sigue a tu ritmo” campaign to promote HIV pre-exposure prophylaxis in Cuba was presented on Thursday in Holguín, as part of its promotion in several provinces in eastern Cuba.
Between the 26th and 28th of this month, the Public Health sector in Holguín will host the scientific events the Hepatocarcinoma Symposium in Eastern Cuba and the ORIENTIMAGEN National Imaging Conference, with the participation of professionals from several health institutions across the country.
The extensive experience of specialists from the province of Holguín in the extraction and transplantation of organs, will be presented by experts from the Lucía Íñiguez clinical surgical hospital during the National Virtual Workshop on the specialty, to be held on February 24, as part of the activities for the 55th anniversary of the beginning of kidney transplantology in Cuba.
