In Holguín, health workers who fought the pandemic in Mexico

Holguín welcomed on Monday about 30 health workers members of the Cuban brigade Henry Reeve, who for three months fought the COVID-19 pandemic in Mexico.
The brigade is composed of 28 specialists in Comprehensive General Medicine, Anesthesiology and nursing staff specialized in intensive and general care, as well as specialists in Neonatology from the seven municipalities and the provincial hospital V.I. Lenin and the Lucía Íñiguez surgical hospital.
The cuban collaborators worked in 68 services in nine hospitals of Mexico, where they assisted 54,000 patients, of which 43,444 had the new SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus.
According to information from the Cuban Ministry of Public Health, during the three months of confrontation with the COVID-19 in Mexico, the Henry Reeve brigade saved 2,169 lives and supported the emergency services, internal medicine, burned room, epidemiology, cure and sutures, among others.
More than 300 health workers in Holguín have joined nearly 30 Henry Reeve brigades that provide support to other countries in the fight against the pandemic.
