Holguin: Grassroots Organization Support Election Process

Photo: Fotos: LivánCommittees for the Defense of the Revolution (CDR) in Holguin support the Cuban election process with the analysis of how to exercise the vote for the delegates and deputies to the Provincial and National Assembly, respectively, on March 11 this year. Until March 9 members of the largest Cuban grassroots organization in the territory will hold a debate of a banner that summarizes the main requirements for and how to exercise the election of the representatives of the people in the higher instances.
On the importance of this preparatory activity Alexis Ramírez, candidate for delegate to the Provincial Assembly, explained that this is vital for the correct exercise of one of the most democratic actions of the Cuban electoral system.
"We are more than a photo in a biography, we are humble and hardworking people, followers of the ideals of the country and it’s the people who have the right to elect us as delegates or deputies, so it is necessary to know how to proceed during the general elections, in order to prevent mistakes that could affect the final result ".
The CDRs will encourage massive attendance at the polls, the preparation of the premises that will serve as polling stations and ensure the discipline and organization of the coming elections on March 11.
