Silla de Gibara, Emblematic Offer of Popular Camping in Holguin

Silla de Gibara has remained during the summer season as one of the Popular Camping offers most demanded by the people of Holguin. It is the second most visited facility of this type in the province for its natural attractions and housing comfort.
With more than 30 years of exploitation, it is the founding facility in Holguin of this tourist modality in direct contact with nature, which initially offered accommodation in tents or rustic buildings in harmony with its surroundings.
The facility is undergoing renovation with a new architectural design that provides greater comfort while retaining the principle of integration with the natural environment. Popular Camping seeks to improve the quality of its constructions and for that purpose it transforms the image of its product.
Silla de Gibara looks renewed after the renovation of 20 of its 43 cabins for a value exceeding 260 thousand Cuban pesos, as part of an investment effort that also included the construction of a water reservoir to increase efficiency in the provision of its services and customer satisfaction.
The Popular Camping group in Holguin plans to renovate all the rooms and improve access to the facility, which has 1.4 kilometers in deteriorated condition. To achieve this last purpose, there is already a financing of around 220 thousand pesos.
The investment also includes the remodeling of other premises of this recreational center, the second largest in the province of the five existing.
Those campers visiting Silla de Gibara enjoy a pleasant stay in common spaces such as restaurant, cafeteria, swimming pool, game and television rooms, entertainment program and hikes to La Tinajita trail.
More than five thousand people will visit this facility in the summer season, as confirmed by its director Rolando Bedolla Castillo, who added that more than 40 percent of them are repeaters, which reaffirms the preference and acceptance of its offers.
Silla de Gibara, located in the North of the province, is favored by its attractive landscape located about 260 meters above sea level and low mountains of curious morphology belonging to the Maniabon range.
Belonging to Rafael Freyre municipality, this facility has very diverse vegetation with a great variety of botanical families.
