The exchange of experiences on the teaching of Spanish and English languages at the university was the topic for debate in the First National Scientific Conference of the Teaching-Learning of Languages in Higher Education taking place in the Holguin University.
This event, with headquarters at the Celia Sánchez Manduley university branch, with the participation of specialists from Havana, Camagüey and Las Tunas, also aims at strengthening the links between the universities of the country and the creation of joint projects about the topic.
During the first day of the event, the renowned Holguin teacher Vilma Paez shared her knowledge about language teaching, accumulated in her years of service at the university.
Likewise, courses related to the methodological implications of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages in Higher Education and the development of oral pedagogical professional communicative competence in the students of the teacher training career were taught.
Rafael Armando Rodriguez, director of the Language Center of the University of Holguin, told the ACN that the agenda also includes the development of a symposium dedicated to students in these institutions of higher education in the country.
The topics addressed also included the experiences acquired in the implementation of the Common Frame of Reference and the use of technologies in the teaching-learning of language .
Rodriguez added that within the projections for future conferences is to expand the spectrum of languages to French, Portuguese and Russian and the territorial nature of its call. / ACN
