By agreement of the Governing Council of the Supreme People's Court and the Provincial Assembly of People's Power, 20 law graduates took possession of their positions as judges and signed the Code of Judicial Ethics, in the mausoleum of the Calixto García Revolution Square, in the city of Holguín.

The new judges swore to comply with and enforce the Constitution and current legislation, as well as the code of judicial ethics with austerity and seriousness to honor its profession.

They also confirmed their commitment to be guarantors of impartiality, reject benefits, be prudent, conduct themselves with discretion in labor matters, lead an austere life, act with composure, good manners, maintain an irreproachable personal conduct and always uphold the judicial work.

Julio César Estupiñan Rodríguez, president of the Government in the province, congratulated the judges and urged them to persevere in their commitment to do justice on behalf of the people.

This activity is part of the celebration of the 45th Anniversary of the court system, to take place on December 23, when the new structural and functional organization of justice in Cuba was inaugurated and where the Commander in Chief Fidel Castro expressed: "The problem of justice is eternal and above the opinions of jurists and theorists, the people have a deep sense of it, that's why my logic is the simple logic of the people.
