A digital exhibition dedicated to the legacy of Fidel Castro Ruz is one of the initiatives in Holguín province to commemorate the centennial of the historic leader of the Cuban Revolution on August 13.

The exhibition, titled "100 Books for the Centenary," currently includes 312 texts collected since 2015, said María Elena Tapia Basterrechea, senior specialist at the Hydraulic Research and Projects Company (Raudal.

She noted that the accompanying catalog contains 374 printed and digital materials related to the leader's work and includes 21 stories written by the author about different moments in Fidel's life, shared through Raudal's website.

The specialist highlighted that the exhibition helps to socialize among new generations the importance of studying traditions for the formation of ethical and patriotic values, taking as an example modesty, selflessness and altruism.

Tapia Basterrechea noted that the project won several awards in science and technology competitions and forums, as an attractive proposal for preserving the history of the Caribbean island.
