Holguín Bids Farewell to 2017 with Huge Agricultural Fair

The province of Holguin bids farewell to 2017 with an agricultural fair to be held from December 24 to 30, which includes exhibitions, competitions, recreational and commercial activities. “Dedicated to the 60th anniversary of the triumph of the Revolution and the Commander in Chief Fidel Castro, the event aims to show the main results achieved in 2017 in the territory and intends to become a space for family enjoyment with varied cultural and gastronomic offers", said Legna Ravelo, sub-delegate of livestock of the Provincial Delegation of the Ministry of Agriculture (MINAG), who serves as president of the organizing committee of the fair.
The Fair will have the participation of all the companies of the territory belonging to the MINAG distributed in different stands, along with the expected sale of food, whose prices will be those already approved by the Provincial Administration Council (CAP).
Viands, fruits, vegetables, sowing methods, bioproducts for the management of pests and diseases, biofertilizers and soil conservation measures and productive results, among others, will be exhibited in the fair.
Competitions of equestrian teams, acrobatics on horses, barrel racing, roping calves, bull riding and milking of wild cows, are among the activities to be developed.
Beer sales, gastronomic offerings, media rental and the auction of animals, as well as film screenings and cultural presentations are part of the program of the fair, said organizers.
