Holguín promotes scientific approach to education

Promoting the role of education as key for the use of science and innovation from the perspective of a developing education is one of the objectives of the Preparation Seminar for the 2023-2024 school year in the province of Holguín.
The meeting, which takes place from May 29 to June 1in this city, also evaluates the results of the sector and ensures preparation for the current economic and social situation of the country.
In his opening speech, the Provincial Director of Education Luis Felipe Batista Rodríguez, pointed out among the tasks of the first order for the Holguín teachers, the contextualization of the project "Continuous Improvement of the National Education System", the ideological political work and attention to vulnerable communities.
He added that the plenary work sessions will aim at applying new methods to promote the experience of professionals and learning, collective construction, joint development and good practices based on management responsibility.
Eugenio González Pérez, vice minister of education, told the ACN that this school year was highly complex, as it required an in-depth study of all levels of management on curricular adaptations as a result of the pandemic.
He stressed that the new projections will contribute to strengthen the comprehensive preparation of students and the methodology in general.
The Preparation Seminar takes place every year with the aim to improve the quality in the development of classes, promote critical thinking and educational innovation together with professionals from different levels of education who advocate for the improvement of educational institutions.(Source: ACN)
