Holguín jurists recognized at IX Congress of the organization

The branch in Holguín of the Union of Jurists of Cuba (UNJC) received recognition as an outstanding province during the period 2017-2022, from the hands of the first secretary of the Party and president of the Republic Miguel Díaz- Canel Bermúdez, this June 8, at the closing of the IX Congress of this organization.
Filadelfa Vidal Aguilar, coordinator of the Gender and Law Project and with extensive experience as a leader in the political, governmental and the union area in the province, received the Replica of the Mallete Martiano, a high distinction granted by the National Council of the UNJC to personalities and institutions with a significant performance in defense of justice and human rights, present in the essence and practice of the Cuban Revolution.
Manuel Leyva Estupiñán, president of the UNJC in Holguín since January of this year, recognized the work of Yaliet Peña Rodríguez, for her work at the head of the organization in the evaluated period.
The Holguín delegation, one of the largest in the country that attended the Congress, participated in the debates on science, law and innovation based on justice, ethics, professional improvement, legal advice and other topics of interest to the union.
The jurists of the territory, inspired by the legacy of Agramonte, Céspedes, Martí and Fidel, are honored to maintain the status of outstanding province since 2002.
At the closing of the IX Congress, just on the date on which they celebrated the 45th anniversary of the UNJC, expressed their willingness to continue contributing to the improvement of the country's legal system.
