The tourism sector in Holguín prepares the sanitary conditions for the opening of hotel services to the foreign market as of Friday, October 1, with the resumption of air operations from Canada to the Frank País International Airport in this eastern territory.

Carlos Álvarez, commercial specialist of the Mintur in Holguín, said that for that day it is planned the reopening of the hotel facilities Playa Pesquero and Brisas Guardalavaca, while the rest will open progressively in accordance with the hygienic sanitary conditions existing in the territory.

He highlighted among the actions aimed at the resumption of services, the vaccination of about four thousand workers from the sector, who have received at least one of the three doses of the Cuban vaccines approved to contain the spread of the pandemic in the country.

With the purpose of providing a safer stay to clients, sanitation protocols will be reactivated in all areas of the hotel, as well as physical distancing signs in common spaces.

He added that epidemiological surveillance will be maintained 24 hours a day, through health checks, both on vacationers and workers by the group of doctors and nurses who will be linked to these services in each center.

Clients arriving in the country, he added, must bring a printed proof of the previous performance of a PCR test with a negative result for COVID-19, endorsed by a laboratory certified for this purpose in their country of origin.
