Holguin Boosts Tourism Investments

This Cuban destination currently has more than 5, 450 rooms, distributed mainly in areas of sun and beach.
Among the new facilities to be opened is the Bahía del Almirante hotel, in the coastal town of Gibara, with 31 rooms, of which six will be ready for next July 1st, on the occasion of the 14th edition of the International Film Festival of Gibara, said Eddy Santos, delegate of the Ministry of Tourism in Holguín (Mintur).
Gibara, launched as a tourist destination in the last Tourism Fair (FITCUBA-2017) also expands nature tourism, with offers of excursions to the existing natural caves in that locality.

On the other hand, in the most famous beach of the northeastern region of Cuba, Guardalavaca, is being built the structure of the central block, the accommodation and the service area of the 515 rooms hotel Albatros-Guardalavaca.
lso, within the investment plan in execution in the province, there is an expansion of five more cabins in the Don Lino motel, so by the end of 2018 it will have 180 bedrooms, Santos added, referring to the sector's projections for develop the housing fund of this pole.

Along with the repair and construction of these facilities, investment actions will also allow a greater interaction of the tourist with the history and culture of the region.
The Holguin tourist destination is projected to become a more eclectic one, where the traditional sun and beach tourism, with the nature and the patrimonial and cultural values of the territory, will converge.
