The subsidiary of the Cuban Fund for Cultural Assets (FCBC) in Holguín joins the Romerías de Mayo event with the celebration of the “Art and Modernity” Crafts Fair, which is part of activities planned for the 35th anniversary of the creation of the institution.

Lisset Sera Rodríguez, FCBC communicator in this city, told the local newspaper ¡ahora! that the fair will be dedicated to Mother's Day, "it will take place from May 2 to 13 and it will be another opportunity to attend a meeting with a commercial space appreciated by the people of Holguín," she said.

"The exhibition and sale of pieces will have the participation of artisans and merchants, including almost twenty Cubans and the usual presence of countries such as Peru, which will be widely represented; there will also be representatives from Ecuador and Russia."

During the month of July, other actions will be carried out to celebrate the anniversary of the Holguín Fund for Cultural Assets, which since its foundation in 1988 has been a benchmark for the work of its artists.

The realization of craft fairs has contributed significant income to the local and national economy due to the high demand for the utilitarian products offered.
