The Ediciones La Luz publishing house of the Hermanos Saíz Association (AHS) in Holguín, is promoting a new book and literature campaign with the title “The light belongs to you”.
Designed by Robert Raez, based on the figurative poetics of the young visual artist Alejandro Zaldívar, the graphic of this campaign represents the mythical character of Ícaro, taking as reference the verses of the Holguín poet Delfín Prats, National Literature Award 2022.
Throughout the year it will accompany the activities that link the publishing house, poetry, young creation and the habit of reading in all audiences, with an emphasis on the new interconnected generations, so its objective is to transcend both platforms digital, social networks and physical spaces, commented to ACN Luis Yuseff, editor- in- chief of this publisher.
In the words of the presentation, the writer and journalist Erian Peña commented that, somehow, this is a virtual, postmodern Icarus, who drinks from pastiche and digital art, flies at night and has an exposed cybernetic heart, but just as stubborn and dreamer than the honored author.
With the support of the creative team of La Luz, various materials were created for these promotional actions that will circulate on physical support and also on the networks, such as posters, calendars, stickers, wallpapers and postcards, as well as spots for radio and television.
Some time ago, long before COVID-19, La Luz worked tirelessly from the Internet to achieve the promotion of literature, especially focused on new audiences, without neglecting other types of assiduous followers of their creations from print, which includes more than 200 titles, in addition to physical spaces such as literary clubs, added Yuseff.
Ediciones La Luz is one of the most important publishers in the country, publishing in its catalog not only titles by young writers, but also the work of renowned Cuban and foreign authors.
