Celestino Short Story Prize convened in Holguín

Ediciones La Luz and the Literature section of the Hermanos Saíz Association (AHS) in Holguín, call for the 22nd edition of the Celestino Short Story Prize, one of the most important national contests for young Cuban storytellers.
All Cuban writers, residents in the country, members or not of the AHS, under 36 years of age, with an unpublished notebook with a minimum length of 45 pages and a maximum of 70 must sent their work to the e-mail address: 22premiocelestinodecount @ gmail.com.

The event, which will take place virtually from June 15 to 18 due to the epidemiological situation generated by the COVID-19 pandemic, is dedicated to the centenary of Augusto Monterroso and the 35th anniversary of the AHS.
The works will be received until June 1, 2021 and the winner will obtain an accrediting diploma, 1000 Cuban pesos, a work of art and the publication of the awarded notebook by Ediciones La Luz, including the payment of the Copyright.
The jury will be composed of prestigious figures in Cuban literature and will announce the winners on June 18.
The Celestino Prize is one of the most important contests for young Cuban authors. Its most recent winners were Elaine Vilar Madruga and Robert Ráez.
