Diaz-Canel highlights synchronization of thermoelectric plant in Cuba

Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel, today, considered the synchronization of the Carlos Manuel de Cespedes Thermoelectric Power Plant, in the central province of Cienfuegos, as a step forward in the stabilization of the National Electric Power System.
“The Cienfuegos Thermoelectric Plant, one of the most efficient in Cuba, is now fully operational. Its unit 4 synchronized with 120 megawatts, after a good maintenance. We continue advancing steadily in the stabilization of the Electroenergy System,” the head of state wrote on his Twitter account.
The plant maintenance lasted 81 days, focused on the reestablishment of the bushings of the circulating water pumps, in charge of bringing the liquid from the sea to the condenser; the machining of the rings; treatment to the coolers and capital rehabilitation of the burners, according to Granma newspaper.
