During the event, which will run until February 23 at ExpoHolguín Exhibition Center, located in the modern area of the eastern city, varieties of liquor will be exhibited, including red, pink, dry, white and sweet.
The event will also be a space for the exchange among producers and the socialization of initiatives, among them the production of liquors for medicinal purposes, using as raw material the cherry, ginger and majagua.
Organized by the Bayado Winemakers Club of Holguín, the Festival will also exhibit the Marañón and Rosas Rojas wine, among the most demanded by consumers.
Ignacio Díaz, owner of the Díaz Cimarro winery, told the Cuban News Agency that the event will also discuss research projects and initiatives to protect the environment promoted by producers, including the recycling of glass bottles.
Club Bayado was founded in 1994 and is distinguished by the use of unconventional tropical fruits and spices, including chili, pumpkin, orange, eggplant and tamarind for wine making. / ACN
