The Universal Company of Holguín is receiving donations from various provinces in the central and western regions of the country to support the areas affected by Hurricane Melissa.

Cuba reported 699 new cases of Covid-19 and four deaths in the last hours, with which the country accumulates 308 deaths due to this disease and 46,896 diagnosed with the virus.

Through social media, the president praised the dedication and courage of those who, “with their admirable skill and undeniable heroism,” contributed to the rescue of thousands of people after the severe flooding caused by Hurricane Melissa.
