Cuba strongly reacted on Tuesday to the U.S. blacklisting of six Venezuelan owned ships for carrying oil to Cuba, in the latest move by Washington to pressure the island into abandoning its support for Caracas and constitutional President Nicolas Maduro.

Cuba currently maintains its will to strengthen ties with its nationals who reside abroad as an irreversible and constantly updated process.
The suspension by the United States of charter flights to Cuba announced Thursday plays with the concerns of Cubans on both sides of the Florida Straits and their needs for contacts with family members, said Carlos Fernandez de Cossío, the Director-General of U.S. Affairs at the Cuban Foreign Ministry.
