Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel today hailed the arrival in Nicaragua of the first load of immunogens developed in the island against Covid-19, to contribute to the health efforts of that Central American nation.

The year 2025 was highly demanding for the province of Holguín, especially for its healthcare system, which faced very adverse conditions and a shortage of essential resources. Despite material, medicine, and equipment scarcities, the network of institutions worked from primary to tertiary care levels, with medical teams rising to meet the challenges.

The winter high season 2022-2023 in the Holguín’s tourist destination is expected to be much higher than the previous ones, according to the 17 airlines with itinerary forecast so far to the Frank País international airport, to guarantee some 65 weekly arrivals compared to the 22 currently being carried out.
