Miami and 20 other cities in the United States and the world are the scene on Sunday of a new World Caravan against the blockade against Cuba, an initiative by the Bridges of Love movement.
Cuba is currently betting on bringing international tourism back on track, so as to make of it the “locomotive” of the island’s economy, as it used to be called a few years back.
Quoted on Tuesday by Granma newspaper, Prime Minister Manuel Marrero emphasized the need for all local sectors to work together to that aim, as he assessed the sector’s performance in 2024 and its perspectives in 2025 at a meeting in Havana.
Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel said on Tuesday that tax evasion in the non-state sector is one of the most harmful problems in the country, during a speech at the Economic Affairs Commission of the National Assembly of People's Power (ANPP, Parliament).
