The Holguín state MSME Tauba Holmotor S.U.R.L. innovates in its productions through the use of recycled raw materials and the use of existing capacities, which has allowed it to expand its manufacturing catalog.
Iván Pego Ramírez, director of the entity, explained to ACN that the scarcity of some of the materials necessary in industrialization and their high price in the international market, let them look for creative solutions that would not affect the fulfillment of their corporate purpose.
To do this, they acquired old or disused components that were composed of some of the required elements such as steel, silicon and virgin aluminum, used in high-capacity transformers and underground electrical conductors.
He pointed out that the initiative allowed the continued uninterrupted industrialization of motors, the main component marketed by the company due to its wide variety of uses, among which are electric pumps intended for irrigation systems and soon for the operation of electric tricycles.
This experience encouraged the application of practices based on science management, the use of installed technology and underused parts with the aim of expanding its menu of services and satisfying the demands of the population, he commented.
Currently they have a variety of manufactures such as charcoal stoves, handcarts, removable tents, mills for animal feed and electrical transformers, all of which have helped import substitution and promoted linkages with other entities.
Located in the municipality of Cacocum, the state-owned MSME Tauba Holmotor S.U.R.L is the third new form of management of this type in the province of Holguín and the only one linked to production.
