The Haydeé Santamaría Cuadrado special school of Holguín is one of the existing in Cuba for the monitoring of children with Autism, where programs are promoted to benefit this population group.

The 65th anniversary of the taking of Sagua de Tánamo, a Cuban city bombed by the Batista tyranny's aircraft and one of the most important battles fought by the Rebel Army in its final offensive to overthrow it, was celebrated today in this Holguín municipality.

The province of Holguín is ready to apply, starting today, the 10-valent Pneusomil vaccine to more than 3,700 children under one year of age, with the purpose of preventing invasive pneumococcal disease, which can cause serious conditions, such as acute meningitis and pneumonia.
