The Deputy Prime Minister Jorge Luis Tapia Fonseca met with peasants and members of productive forms associated with the Guatemala Agricultural Company to analyze fundamental issues of the agri-food program, such as the implementation of the 63 measures applied to this sector and the problems affecting its development.

Holguín tobacco growers are committed to achieving higher yields in the 2022-2023 tobacco campaign, which began this Thursday at Las Vegas farm, owned by producer Ruber Rodríguez Leyva, in the community of San Andrés.

The 2022-2023 school year will begin on November 28 in the province of Holguín with a coverage of 96.4 percent, benefited from the incorporation of 580 graduates of pedagogical schools, it was informed at work meeting held on Tuesday with Ena Elsa Velázquez Cobiella, Minister of Education in Cuba, with directors of the sector in the territory and representatives of organizations involved in the preparations.
