Dutch foundation collaborates with Holguín´s health sector

The Dutch foundation Stichting Cuba Adelante collaborates with health institutions and vulnerable groups in the province of Holguín with the goal of improving physical and family well-being.
Over the years, it has sent numerous donations that strengthen medical care and directly benefit the region’s most vulnerable populations.
Since its creation a decade ago, the organization has managed shipments of containers with essential medical supplies, such as wheelchairs and spare parts for their repair. This support has improved the working conditions of healthcare professionals and the quality of service provided to patients.
The donations include consumable medical materials, medicines, walkers, canes, and eyeglasses destined for hospitals and optical services.
Among the institutions benefited are the Dr. Luis Mario Cruz Cruz Maternity and Children’s Hospital, the César Fornet Fruto Polyclinic, the Lucía Íñiguez Landín Clinical-Surgical Hospital, and the Pediatric Integral Logistics Center.
In addition to supporting the health sector, the foundation assists vulnerable families by providing food packages and continuously monitoring their basic needs.
Each year, representatives visit the beneficiary institutions to assess the impact of donations and plan future actions. With the support of companies such as Womy Equipment Rental and Nirint Shipping, the organization also promotes sports by donating equipment to the Pedro Díaz Coello Sports Initiation School.
