State Budget will offer financial aid to people affected by heavy rains in Holguín

The Cuban government will finance through the state budget 50 percent of the prices of construction materials for victims of the heavy rains that hit the eastern region of the country, the National Television News (NTV) reported on Monday.
The Council of Ministers stipulated that the aid will be allocated to people whose homes were totally or partially affected by the hydrometeorological phenomenon in the provinces of Camagüey, Las Tunas, Holguín, Granma and Santiago de Cuba.
The measure, published in the Official Gazette number 45 Extraordinary, details that the affected people, whose income is not enough to acquire construction materials, can access bank loans, request subsidies from the State budget, or require financing from the social assistance, in accordance with the provisions of current legislation.
