voto vs bloqueo

In the General Assembly Hall, 31 speakers spoke yesterday to discuss the reasons for their States and international organizations to vote against the unfair and genocidal policy that the United States has imposed on Cuba during six decades of hostility.

The economic, commercial and financial blockade was described by the representatives of the countries as anachronistic, unfair, terrorist, violation of human rights, of the principles endorsed in the Charter of the United Nations, of multilateralism and the good faith of the peoples. All agreed on the need to eliminate it.

This Thursday, the debate will continue first, then each Member State (193) will make use of their right to vote. More than a dozen interventions are planned.

For 27 consecutive ocassions, the largest of the Antilles has presented the draft resolution against the US blockade before the United Nations General Assembly and has received majority support from the international community. Today will not be  different. The victory of Cuba is infallible.

This is the historical vote in the 21st century.
