A valuable tool for studying revolutionary thought and the history of Cuba is now available to everyone. The complete collection of Selected Works of Fidel Castro Ruz, in its digital edition, is available for free download via a link provided by the Fidel Castro Center.
According to a publication by the prestigious institution, this 23-volume collection—meticulously annotated and with a foreword by the Leader of the Revolution, Army General Raúl Castro Ruz—brings together an essential selection of speeches, interventions, interviews, public appearances, letters, messages, articles, and other documents by the historical leader of the Cuban Revolution and other documents by the Commander-in-Chief between 1940 and 2016.
Volume 23, in particular, contains extensive documentation related to the close friendship between Fidel Castro and the Bolivarian leader Hugo Chávez, a testament to the fraternal ties that united both nations.
"This is an annotated edition that facilitates the understanding of the texts, as the footnotes refer to or clarify names of people, places, institutions, events, or expressions. Each volume also includes an introductory note about the corresponding historical context and analytical, name, and toponymic indexes." The collection is complemented by a booklet containing the general indexes and a subject guide for each volume,” the Center stated.
