The director general for International Affairs of the Iranian parliament, Hosein Amir Abdolahian, announced the capture of suspected murderers of scientist Mohsen Fakhrizadeh, in an interview broadcast today by local Al-Alam network.
'The perpetrators of that murder, some already identified and even arrested by our security body, will not escape justice,' said Abdolahian.
In the opinion of the Iranian politician, there are implications of Israel and other intelligence services, including the United States, in this terrorist act.
'There is evidence that Zionists were involved and did so with the complicity of the U.S. CIA and other agencies,' he said. According to Abdolahian, the Israelis played an important role, but during the implementation of the criminal plan they made use of other facilities and services.
Mohsen Fakhrizade headed the Defense Research and Innovation Organization of the Iranian Ministry of Defense, died last November 27 in an ambush in Tehran.
He was the fifth Iranian nuclear scientist to be assassinated in the past decade during terrorist actions orchestrated by Israel's intelligence service (Mossad) and the CIA.
The Iranian government blames the United States-Israel-Saudi Arabia for the incident and warned the response to that crime will be forceful.
