La Loma de la Cruz is one of the symbols of the city of Holguín, in the north east of Cuba. A panoramic view of the city attracts visitors who can see from the heights of the hill, a city that grows at its feet.
At the top of the hill stands the Restaurant de la Loma, an excellent place to taste Creole food and enjoy an impressive view in complicity with nature.
Locals and visitors choose this place to enjoy family commemorative dates and even to celebrate weddings.
To get to the top of the Loma de la Cruz there is a staircase with 458 steps, intermediate breaks and benches included that in the middle of the ascent may seem the most comfortable in the world.
Pope Francis blessed the city from the top of the hill on September 21, 2015.
