The Natural History Museum of Gibara, founded on December 30, 1966, treasures an immense collection on Biology and Geology.
Its exhibits the natural marine history of the territory through dioramas, making a journey through the values of the flora and fauna of this coastal municipality.
The museum stands out for exhibiting the educational collection of eggs as well as representative specimens of the exclusive migratory belt of this coastline.
It also exhibits the records of birds captured on its coasts and the complete skeleton of a sperm whale and a pilot whale.
The permanent exhibition of the museum has 2904 exhibits distributed in 7 themes: ornithology, mammals, reptiles, botany, malacology, geology and marine room.
