A project that includes several recreational areas and historical contents is currently being promoted in the surroundings of the Historic Complex of Biran, in the municipality of Cueto in the province of Holguín, the birthplace of the historic leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro Ruz, who was born on August 13, 1926 and died on November 25, 2016.

The Holguín Beekeeping Company boosts the production of organic honey with the aim to expand this exportable item, in high demand in European countries.

Since December last year, Holguin mothers of student age have had a new opportunity to ensure the care of their son or daughter and continue the school process without any problems, following the update of Decree-Law No.56 on the maternity of working women and family responsibility in Cuba.
