Cuban Son was declared an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO this December, during the twentieth session of the Intergovernmental Committee held in New Delhi, India.
The Hermanos Saíz Association (AHS) in Holguín and the Organizing Committee of the Romerías de Mayo are calling for the Congress on Thought and Memoria Nuestra Award, which will take place from May 3 to 7, 2026, as part of the World Festival of Artistic Youth.
The city of Holguín will host the 31st edition of the Ibero-American Culture Festival from October 24 to 30, 2025, organized by the Casa de Iberoamérica and the Provincial Directorate of Culture.
