Twenty more Cubans joined the short history of Soberana 01, the country’s first candidate vaccine against COVID-19, on September 2, according to reports from Naturaleza Secreta.
Forty-one years ago, Cuba hosted the Sixth Summit of Non-Aligned Countries (Noal) and by then Cuban collaborators provided services in 28 countries of that Movement, a practice multiplied today in the face of Covid-19.
Cuba on Thursday continues the clinical trials on the vaccine candidate against Covid-19, known as Soberana 01 (Sovereign 01), with a second group of 20 volunteers aged 60 to 80.
After the favorable development on the first days of the stage of clinical trials with Soberana 01, Cuba announces the work on a new COVID-19 vaccine candidate.
