The Regional Neonatal Surgery Center (CRCN) of Holguín, based at the Octavio de la Concepción de la Pedraja Pediatric Hospital, has been equiped with an advanced Mindray A8 anesthesia workstation, one of three high-tech devices recently acquired in Cuba for a similar centers.
Cuba’s scientific expertise in treating autoimmune diseases was showcased at the plenary session of the 19th International Congress of Immunology, taking place in Vienna until August 22.
In Holguín, care for critical maternal cases is being strengthened to reduce severe complications during pregnancy and childbirth, in line with the priorities of the Maternal and Child Care Program (PAMI).
