The Federation of Cuban Women (FMC) in Holguín develops a wide program of activities to celebrate the 60th anniversary of its organization on Sunday the 23rd, in line with the health regulations to prevent the spread of Covid-19.

During these days, women from the territory increasingly praise their role in Cuban society, supporting all the tasks included in the country's socioeconomic programs, said to the ACN Iris Díaz Cabrera, a member of the FMC Provincial Secretariat.

On the day, several members of the FMC will be honored for their contributions to the development of the country in different spheres with the 60th Anniversary Seal, which includes Dr. Pura Avilés, who has an important professional career in the development of science in Cuba.

The collaborators who make up the Henry Reeve Brigade who have had three internationalist missions will be recognized with the Mariana Grajales Order, while another group will receive the Ana Betancourt Order for having participated in two of the calls of the health system in other medical contingencies.

Two labor groups will also be recognized with the 60th Anniversary flag, due to the close link with the organization and the number of women leaders in labor entities such as the Gibara spinning mill and the Lidia Doce Textile Confections Workshop, of the head city. / ACN
