Holguín nurses return home after fighting Covid-19 in Saint Lucia

Three Holguín nurses who are members of the Cuban medical brigade Henry Reeve that helped the Caribbean island of Saint Lucia to fight the Covid-19 pandemic returned home this Wednesday.
Yenny Paneque Caballero, from the municipality of Sagua de Tánamo and Vivian Pupo Diéguez and Leyanis Rodríguez Pérez, from the city of Holguín, where received in their communities by their relatives, neighbors and coworkers.
The three nurses were members of the medical brigade that left last March 27 for Saint Lucia to help in the fight against the new coronavirus SARS-CoV2 in different communities together with colleagues, who were already in that country.
According to the website of the Cuban Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Minister for Health and Wellness Sen. Hon. Mary Isaac expressed to the local media the gratitude “for the contribution and service provided to the people of Saint Lucia by the health personnel of the largest of the Antilles during these months”.
