Holguín promotes exporting vocation of businessmen

Photo: Alexis del ToroThe Department of Foreign Trade, Foreign Investment and Economic Collaboration of the Provincial Government, carries out several actions aimed at promoting the exporting vocation of businessmen in Holguín.
In this regard, business people from the province developed a training seminar aimed at entities that produce exportable items and officials responsible for their management and promotion.
The event was attended by the University of Holguín, the Geominera Business Unit of Holguín (Zeolite-producing plant in San Andrés), as well as specialists from the Ministry of Foreign Trade in municipal governments, among others.
This responds to the national strategy of diversifying exports of goods and services, enhancing the role of the territories, so that they become the basis of the country's economic and social life.
Participants discussed the status of exportable funds and import substitution in the 14 municipalities of the province, which presented irregularities in their analysis.
The meeting was chaired by Leonardo Bruzón Reynaldo, the Department of Foreign Trade, Foreign Investment and Economic Collaboration; Hilda Santiesteban, director of the Holguín-Las Tunas Territorial Delegation of the Chamber of Commerce; José García, director of the Territorial Office for Standardization and Metrology, among other specialists.
